The new state-of-the-art $16.8 million, 32,431 SF Centennial Hills Library, located on a seven-acre site that includes the Centennial Hills Park and the Centennial Hills Community Center offers visitors a collection of books, music, movies and other resources. Designed for people of all ages, the facility also offers a computer lab for adults, free wireless Internet, a Homework Help Center with an adjoining computer lab for kids, an art gallery, and a story room. An additional highlight is the popular used bookstore/café. Not only was the library designed to hold a treasure trove of books and resources, it achieved a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold certification, meaning it is constructed to reduce negative environmental impacts and improve occupant health and well-being. BEGA light building elements, bollards and surface wall mounted luminaires not only enhance the overall appeal of this new facility, but certainly helped to ensure this much sought certification.
